Infinity Elite Outline

Infinity Elite (U11-U13)

Becoming an Infinity Elite Player

Infinity Elite is a more challenging developmental atmosphere that involves Premier and Select teams playing in State and District competition respectively.  The players that are selected for the Infinity Elite program are typically developed in the Infinity Soccer Academy (ISA) Program. There are four attributes that are used to select and identify players for Infinity Elite, they are recognized:

  1. for their commitment as a player in the ISA.
  2. for their skill development as a player in the ISA.
  3. for their intelligent decision making demonstrated as a player in the ISA
  4. for their physical characteristics that contribute to a players success in soccer:
    1. Speed
    2. Strength
    3. Size
    4. Agility and Balance

It is not a requirement for a player in Infinity Elite to be a product of the ISA. However, we believe that the development of players in ISA will create a large pool of talented players to choose from and their dedication to the Infinity Soccer Program will provide an edge to those that did not develop in the system when tryouts are held.

Each year every player will have to tryout for the team. It is not automatic that if a player is on the team one year that he/she will be on the same team or even a member of Infinity Elite the next year.

Training for the Infinity Elite Player

Training will be held twice a week in season. Each team will have a committed and experienced trainer that has two roles:

1) Developing skilled and soccer-intelligent players with demanding training session
                 environments that generate;

a. a competitive atmosphere

b. a demand for technically sound individual play

c. intelligent decision making on the field

d. individual and team accountability

e. the all around player

             2) Developing the adult learner(s) to be able to:

            a. coach the games

                        b. run training sessions in the trainer’s absence
c. recognize the importance of earning their coaching licenses

State Competition for the Infinity Elite Player

Infinity Elite players will travel around the state representing our club and community. Utah Youth Soccer Association will schedule these games and provide officials, schedules, fields. Elite teams will follow UYSA rules and bylaws.

Tournament Competition for the Infinity Elite Player

Infinity Elite players will attend several tournaments a year. The tournaments will be scheduled prior to tryouts. When a player commits to an elite team they commit to the future finances needed to travel regardless of attendance in tournament play. However, if the player can find another Infinity Elite player to take their place, they can have the replacement player pay their responsibility (except for State Cup).
